5 Things you Wish You Knew Before Starting out Coaching
May 28, 2020 Season 1 Episode 16
Marcus Walfridson

After coaching for many years I realized that there were certain things that I thought was “right” or “smart” when starting out that turned out to be useless at best, and plain crazy at worst. If someone would have told me about these 5 things when my coaching career started, it would’ve become a much smoother ride to the top.

How do I know what you wish you knew before you started coaching? I don’t. However, what I have done is ask you, and your peers on social media, the guests who have been on this show, and my coaching friends. Maybe you saw the question “What is the ONE thing you wish you knew before starting out coaching?” on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn?

If you were one of the hundreds who answered my question, you might be mentioned in this episode. What I have done is taken your answers, categorized them into five different areas and present the result in this session.

Listen to this episode if you want to avoid making the same mistakes as many of us, hear what coaches on all levels and from different parts of the world said. Maybe you were one of them?
