Marcus Walfridson

With all the changes going on in the US Youth Soccer landscape, I decided to sit down with Diane Scavuzzo, editor in chief at Soccer Today to get the latest insights to what’s going on. We discuss everything from the complex US Youth system to the future after DA with MLS, USL and other organizations taking charge.

Diane is the Founder and Editor in Chief at Soccer Today, the #1 youth digital soccer news publication in America. They have several million monthly readers and their newsletter has more than 250,000 subscribers. I am one of those subscribers and there’s always something in these emails that gets me to click and read.

In this conversation we talk a lot about how the US Youth Soccer landscape is today, and how we think it will look in the future. Having more than 10 years of experience writing about the game, Diane has a lot of insight into things that we as coaches might not be as aware of.

Listen to this episode if you want to learn more about the US Youth Soccer landscape, the Development Academy, MLS, USL and the future of US Youth Soccer.
